2024 High School Football Previews: East [Video]

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) – As another fall is right around the corner, the Wyoming News Now Sports team is getting on the road and previewing our high school football teams.

Kicking it off with East High School.

Coming off of last season’s 4A State Runner Up finish, the T-Birds will have a different look this season.

The departure of some of their biggest producers like Drew Jackson, Cam Hayes, Nathan Mirich, Colby Olson, and Kolbe Dierks will have new faces to fil their shoes.

“They were all good leaders,” Senior offensive and defensive lineman, Jesse Kirkbride, said. “I think that’s going to help us cause now we know what to do as upperclassmen, even though some of them haven’t played. They know how it goes and what to do.”

Replacing production does not bother the T-Birds we talked to much. They have adopted a “next man up” mentality.
