The National Weather Service issued a high surf advisory at 3:01 p.m. on Wednesday valid for Thursday between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. for Bristol, Dukes and Nantucket counties.
The weather service says, “Large breaking waves of 4 to 7 feet expected in the surf zone.”
“Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion,” says the weather service. “Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.”
