Keyron Crawford may give Auburn football something it hasn’t had in a while [Video]

Having only played football during his senior season of high school, Keyron Crawford’s recruitment was slow-rolling.

“I wanted to go into the SEC as a freshman, but schools were scared because I didn’t have the experience to come in at a Power 5 and compete,” Crawford told reporters Monday. “My level of confidence has always been there. My work ethic has always been there.”

Auburn defensive edge coach Josh Aldridge, who was at Liberty at the time, saw the raw potential in Crawford and recruited him out of high school.

“We actually recruited him at Liberty, in high school,” Aldridge said of Crawford. “We just kinda filled up on spots. That was back when you could only sign 25 a year and all that stuff.”
