HARTFORD, Ky. (WBKO) – For the first time in nearly a decade, Ohio County High School is introducing journalism and communications into their curriculum.
The school has not offered a broadcasting course since the previous teacher, Keith Hatcher, passed away in 2015.
“Keith was an amazing teacher, and I think he would love the digital workflow and equipment that comprise a broadcasting class today,” program coordinator Eddie Groves said. “I can only hope this class honors and expands on what he originally built here.”
Now called Eagle Media, the course has been eagerly anticipated by students and faculty.
OCHS senior Ryan Werry said he knew he would want to take the class thanks to having had Groves as his psychology teacher the previous year.
