People in Berlin say the fair is a tradition, and missing school is all a part of it.
“We miss school for the fair every year because they want us to have the day off to spend time with our friends,” Addie Mongillo said, adding that sleeping in and hanging out with friends on the fair grounds is the best part.
For others, coming to the fair is a tradition.
“I grew up in Berlin, so I’ve been coming to the fair since I was really little,” Aleah Ellis said. “I mean, I had the day off when I was a kid, so I’m bringing my daughter back and having a great time.”
With so much to see and do throughout the Berlin fairgrounds, it’s no wonder people are excited to experience their favorite things.
