Flooding in Steinbach causes Rental House to run out of sump pumps – SteinbachOnline.com [Video]

The heavy and constant rain in Steinbach over the last 24 hours has taken a toll on houses in the community. 

Oliver Kopp with the Rental House says it’s such a bad storm that they ran out of sump pumps to rent out.

“I could probably have three times as many pumps, and I would probably still have the same answer of unfortunately no, it’s been a little crazy.” 

Kopp says Tuesday morning is when things really started to pick up. 

“Last night I think everybody was like, ‘it rained a lot, we can manage with what we’ve got,’ but this morning when it just kept going and going and going, I think our count is 29 pumps went out since we’ve been open.” 

He says most of the calls he has been receiving show this is more than just typical flooding.
