Recent reporting from the Center for Regional Analysis (CRA) at EDC Lancaster County finds that Lancaster County’s economy remained steady through the second quarter of 2024. A notable drop in employment levels seen at the end of the quarter, however, set the stage for potential moderation going into Q3.
In its recently published Economic Intelligence Report for Lancaster County, CRA explores how declining employment levels from May to June, sluggish Q2 labor force growth, and a record-low unemployment rate in April have further contributed to Lancaster’s tight labor market, while low commercial vacancy rates have challenged opportunities for business growth across the county.
