SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Downtown Sioux Falls streets will close on Friday afternoon as the October Art & Wine Walk begins.
The Downtown Sioux Falls Fall Art & Wine Walk will take place October 4 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Phillips Avenue will close between 9th and 10th Streets from 4 to 8 p.m.
The event will feature an immersive art experience with music and performances. Visitors can tour 36 participating downtown locations, view local art and sample a variety of wines.
This year, DTSF is partnering with AARP Sioux Falls.
“Pop-up events like the one happening at Art and Wine Walk are great for social connections as well as for educating community leaders about the benefits of thoughtful placemaking. Through planning, policy change and other efforts, projects like these can increase safety, improve health outcomes and boost economic investment,” said Erik Gaikowski, AARP South Dakota State Director.
