The first party political broadcast has been aired on national television, showing Labour politicians mocked up in a ‘movie’ about recent controversies.
Reform’s clip appeared at 6.25pm on ITV1, and at 6.55pm on BBC1 last night, and its use of artificial intelligence is rudimentary, showing images you could mock up in minutes.
But the use of AI in politics has raised concerns about regulation of the tech, with one expert saying it should have been clearly labelled in the clip.
The video began as if it is a broadcast by Labour itself, with the familiar red background and ‘Change begins’ slogan.
From there, however, cinematic music and a voiceover come in alongside a mocked-up image of Gordon Brown presenting a table of gold bars and the words ‘Sold the gold’.
