AI survey explores Trumps gains among Black, Latino and young voters [Video]

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Political analysts are just beginning to unpack the 2024 electorate and the factors that propelled Donald Trump to a decisive victory.

One thing is clear: Trump outperformed expectations among several key demographic groups.

A new poll, leveraging artificial intelligence, helps explain why Black voters, Latino voters, young voters, and independent voters broke for Trump in greater numbers than in 2020.

These demographic shifts help explain why polls leading up to the election underestimated Trump’s support for a third consecutive cycle, according to CloudResearch’s Chief Research Officer, Leib Litman.

While the polls accurately predicted support for Vice President Kamala Harris within 0.5% nationally, they underestimated Trump by 3.8% nationally, based on the company’s analysis.

The Trump polling error ranged from 2.1% to 3.7% across the seven battleground states.

In 2024, Trump gained 8 points among voters aged 18 to 29, securing 46% of this group compared to 36% in 2020.
