Academic Achiever: Preston Nichols [Video]

VINCENT, Ohio (WTAP) – Warren High School Senior Preston Nichols is this week’s High School Academic Achiever.

Preston said his academic performance has always been a priority.

“I’ve always been academically minded,” Preston said. “I was always taught to do very well in school by my parents, and that’s stayed with me throughout my entire school career.

Though a successful student all round with a 4.0 grade point average, Preston said he’s particularly interested in the sciences and has participated in Science Olympiad since sixth grade.

“I really like anatomy,” he said. “I find that very interesting. And the wider part of biology, talking about ecology and stuff like that and how things work within animal habitats, I found that really interesting.”

Preston intends to put that interest in science toward a career as a veterinarian.
