GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A recent analysis by BetMichigan.com has uncovered the most popular Thanksgiving side dishes among Michigan residents—and the top spot is a tie.
The study used data from Google Trends from Nov. 1, 2023, to Nov. 30, 2023, to analyze what Michiganders search for as they prepare for Thanksgiving.
The results show a tie for the top spot, with stuffing and green bean casserole sharing first place as Michigan’s favorite Thanksgiving sides.
Mashed potatoes claimed the third spot in the rankings, followed by sweet potato casserole in fourth place.
Rounding out the top five—perhaps controversially—is cranberry sauce, a traditional side known for being polarizing.
