The National Association of Realtor (NAR) is what might be considered a “normal” trade group that seems to more authentically care about accurate data that is distributed to the public on a monthly basis. Like the Manufactured Housing Association for Regulatory Reform (MHARR), which also reports accurate and monthly data to all, NAR wants to keep their profession in the public eye on a routine basis. Fannie Mae isn’t a trade group, but they want to keep their business name and mortgage mission in the public’s, housing professionals, politicos, medias, and other mind via the release of information they want to be deemed as reliable.
