Man convicted in 1995 Knoxville murder likely will not get parole [Video]

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – A man convicted in the 1995 murder of a Knoxville couple will not get parole, if the state’s parole board follows the Tuesday recommendation of board member Zane Duncan.

David three-yearScarbrough was one of three men charged in connection to the murder of Les and Carol Dotts, who were murdered inside their Knoxville home.

On Tuesday, he appeared before Duncan, who is set to recommend he stay in prison.

“I do not vote for your release today,” Duncan said. “My vote is to decline your parole for the seriousness of the offense and to continue correctional treatment for three years.”

That three-year mark is the next option for Scarbrough to make parole. Throughout Tuesday’s hearing, Scarbrough maintained that he had nothing to do with the Dotts’ murder, something he’s claimed from the beginning.
