Nebraska Ag Expo shows off new industry technology [Video]

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The annual Nebraska Ag Expo is underway, hosting more than nine acres of exhibits, including what’s known as the innovation hub complete with the latest technology.

The agriculture technology industry has exploded over the years and with the rise of artificial intelligence, there are questions over whether its a good or bad thing to be integrating it into our lives and livelihoods.

A recent poll of rural Nebraskans showed 75% of those surveyed have not used AI before, with many concerned it could force workers out of jobs.

However, in regards to agriculture, more people surveyed believe it will benefit the industry.

“What’s happening and kind of AI and technology going forward is definitely on automating the mundane and wrote tasks that are very repetitive and probably aren’t very interesting or can be tiresome at times,” said Ian Hall, product manager at Aigen.
