My Teacher is Tops: Mrs. Wynter takes home 13WMAZ’s top teacher award [Video]

MACON, Ga. — Danielle Wynter has been teaching for eight years, but this is her first at Southfield Elementary School – and her first in the state of Georgia.

She came to Georgia from North Carolina, and teaches all subjects to her group of energetic elementary schoolers. Mrs. Wynter is pretty high-energy herself, and her passion for teaching is easy to see.

That’s one reason why Kataleya Guzman-Elias nominated her teacher for this week’s My Teacher is Tops award.

“I love that you make it easy to talk to when we have a problem because you let us explain what is wrong,” Kataleya said. “I also love that you have so much energy and make learning fun.”
