DJ Hernandez pleads guilty to making threats of UConn school shooting [Video]

HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) – Dennis John Hernandez has pleaded guilty to making interstate threats.

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) says DJ Hernandez, brother of convicted killer and former NFL player Aaron Hernandez, waived his right to be indicted and pleaded guilty today to sending threats of a school shooting at UConn via Facebook Messenger.

The statements included “I would recommend remaining away from there because when I go I’m taking down everything And don’t give a f— who gets caught in the crossfire. I’ve died for years now and now it’s others people turn. I’m prepared to give my life. So if I don’t get to see you on the outside know I love you always Not all shootings are bad I’m realizing. Some are necessary for change to happen.”

Hernandez’s car was seen on UConn’s campus on July 7, 2023.
