Meet the keepers working Christmas Day to ensure a festive feast for the thousand plus animals who call Longleat in Wiltshire home.

Lead Keeper Kayleigh Smith is particularly keen to be spending 25 December at work as it’s the first Christmas for rare Amur tiger cubs Ginger Biscuit, Dora Boo, Heidi and Seeker. The four girls were born to mum Yana and dad Red in May.

She said: “Christmas Day is just as important as any other day at Longleat as we are here to check in with the animals, ensure they are fed and are happy and content.

“I have a soft spot for working Christmas Day as we can give the animals extra treats. This year is also the first Christmas for the tiger cubs so particularly exciting,” she added
