Guidance issued to schools for displaying 10 Commandments per new Louisiana law [Video]

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Specific guidance has now been issued to schools about how to display the Ten Commandments in classrooms, per a newly passed Louisiana law.

On Friday, Jan. 3, Attorney General Liz Murrill announced her office has issued guidance to schools in the state about how specifically to display the Ten Commandments in classrooms.

“I have issued guidance to our public schools regarding compliance with Louisiana’s Ten Commandments law, HB 71. As I have repeatedly said, HB 71 is plainly constitutional because there are constitutionally sound ways to implement it. My guidance letter explains as much and includes four specific displays, as well as a draft resolution that schools may use to adopt this guidance. I look forward to working with our schools and continuing to defend HB 71’s constitutionality,” Murrill said in a statement.
