Early-stage artificial intelligence (AI) startup Better Futures has secured €500,000 from angel investors to accelerate the rollout of its novel AI assistant, EVA.
Better Futures, a NovaUCD start-up, was established in 2023 by Anthony Mc Loughlin, who has over 15 years experience in data science, rocket science and business development, and has worked with notable clients such as Airbus, Mercedes and Rolls Royce.
His EVA (Engineering Virtual Assistant) software aims to help engineers and manufacturers to adopt AI in their work, potentially leading to a 10-fold reduction in lead times, costs and associated risks.
The software leverages Large Language Models (LLMs) and GPT technology to cut down on high entry costs to AI adoption, which can be a prohibitive roadblock for smaller firms aiming to capitalise on the technological breakthrough of artifical intelligence.
The barriers to entry can be especially high for use cases of classical data analysis such as predictive maintenance.
