To address this, Airbnb is rolling out new technology designed to flag potentially risky bookings before they turn into disruptive events. The system uses factors like guest reviews, booking history, and the timing of a reservation to identify bookings that may lead to unauthorized parties.
Dorothy Choice, an Airbnb host, knows the impact these parties can have.
“Once, we ended up having to call the cops because the guest was local, and they ended up having a party,” Choice said.
