Travel within North American is likely to cost a few more dollars next year.
The American Express Global Business Travel’s (Amex GBT) Air Monitor 2025 report projects that business-class fares within North America are expected to rise by 2.7% year over year, while economy-class fares will increase by 2.8%
A 2.8% increase on a $500 ticket would amount to $14, while it would mean a $28 increase on a $1,000 ticket.
The report said Europe should see business-class fares increase by 1.2%, and economy-class fares are expected to rise by 2.8%.
But travellers in Australia won’t be so lucky, as Amex forecasts a 7.8% hike in business class fares Down Under, and a whopping 13.7% hike in economy fares.
