Malik Nabers appears to have avoided a serious ankle injury, and the hype for the wide receiver’s rookie season is back on.
But Evan wonders if the Giants’ sixth overall pick is getting a little too much hype.
“Malik Nabers is facing expectations that I almost think are unfair,” Evan said. “I get it, the kid looks great. This is not meant to disparage Malik Nabers at all. But this feels unfair.”
Nabers was a stud at LSU and has all the tools to be a star, but Evan wonders if fans like Shaun Morash and Tommy Lugauer are setting the bar too high too quickly by already believing that he can go down as the best wideout in franchise history. Whether it’s fair or not, Tiki doesn’t believe it will be any kind of problem for Nabers.
