Artificial Intelligence is taking off on Wall Street as new companies and new investments enter the marketplace. Experts believe Pennsylvania has a role to play.
HARRISBURG, Pa. — Artificial Intelligence seen as the cutting edge of technology and the stock market is all in.
“A.I. is poised to dominate the future the way the internet did,” said Stefan Lewellen, assistant professor of finance at Penn State University.
The wave of enthusiasm around artificial intelligence is ballooning stock values as major tech companies double down heading into the new year.
“There’s this massive amount of investment and it’s sort of the wild west,” Lewellen said. “Every time somebody comes out with a new model, it’s the best thing in the world, it can solve all the world’s problems. Then, three weeks later another model comes out that’s even better.”
Pennsylvania is part of the process.
