According to data from the Mortgage Resource Center, there is a 13.3% gap in approval rates between Black and White homebuyers. And although the disparity still exists in Atlanta, the gap is significantly smaller, at 9.5%.
The report highlights that Atlanta, known for its strong Black middle class and diverse economy, offers opportunities for wealth-building and homeownership stability.
