Aurora Public Schools sees academic success [Video]

AURORA, Neb. (KOLN) – There are definite signs of high student achievement you can see in the Aurora Public School district, and that is a source of community pride.

Jody Phillips, the Superintendent at Aurora Public Schools said there are many reasons for the academic success he’s seeing.

“I think the first thing that is going on is our students,” Phillips said. “We have great kids who come to our school district. Phillips said supportive families are another reason for the academic excellence at Aurora. “You combine that with a high quality staff and you get high student success.”

In 2022, there were three National Merit Scholars to come from the high school. “These are the top students in the nation,” Phillips said. “When you look at having three scholars in a class of 100 students, we had three of the top students in the nation that year.” This seems …
