Could you survive an alien invasion? Most Brits aren’t so sure.
A recent poll has revealed that around a third of UK residents believe they’re unlikely to survive if hostile Martians invaded Earth.
What’s more, a third think they’d be lucky to survive more than one month – with just 1 in 10 feeling confident they’d survive more than one year.
The survey of 2,000 people was conducted by Layered Reality, a company behind a new immersive experience based on Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds musical.
Those polled reveal the first things they’d do if Martians did indeed land on Earth tomorrow is find friends and family (26%), find essential supplies (20%) and run or hide (18%). One in ten say they’d say hello.
Others say they’d ask the Martians to take them back to their planet with them (11%), while some (5%) admit they’d get intimate with the nearest human.
