Bullard ISD welcomes new tennis head coach [Video]

BULLARD, Texas — Bullard ISD has brought in James Wills as its new tennis coach. 

“I am excited to be back in Bullard ISD,” Wills said. “I coached this year’s senior tennis athletes when they were just beginning in seventh grade, so it will be fun to see their development now as seniors.”

Wills previously held the position of assistant coach at Bullard from 2018-2021, before becoming the head tennis coach at Jacksonville College. As head coach, he led their men’s team to becoming No. 11 in the National Junior College Athletic Association ranking. 

Before coaching, he served in the United States Army for 25 years as a helicopter pilot. 

Bullard ISD is holding a meet-and-greet with the coach Sept. 18 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
