GENESEE COUNTY, Mich. (WJRT) – A Clio man has been charged with child sex crimes after using Artificial Intelligence.
According to court records, 25-year-old Trevor Klinert is facing four counts of child sexually abusive activity and four counts of using a computer to commit a crime. He is being held on a $300,000 cash bond.
Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson said a GHOST operation was launched after a family photo was posted on Facebook and the victim came forward.
Swanson said Klinert used that family photo and other social media pictures of underaged victims to create pornographic images using AI, which he allegedly shared online.
