Community supporting South Point teachers following stabbing incident [Video]

SOUTH POINT, OHIO (WSAZ) – Following the incident yesterday at South Point Elementary, the community of South Point is rallying together to support the staff during this difficult time.

Harlee Hall, co-owner of GR8 Pies says, “I know that their minds are probably stressed and like anxious. There’s free chicken and a pie – it’s not going to cure it, but it may make it a little bit better.”

GR8 Pies and Guthrie’s of South Point decided to give free food to the staff from the South Point School District.

Guthrie’s owner Sam Gue says he got together with his co-owner and general manager. Together, they came up with what they can do for the community.

“And we just thought what can we do to just maybe give, just shine a light where it was kind of a tough day yesterday,” says Gue.
