Computer science researcher to discuss impact of machine learning and AI in computing at SBU [Video]

ST. BONAVENTURE — St. Bonaventure University will host computer science researcher Sai Suman for a conversation and question-and-answer session on working with machine learning and artificial intelligence models.

“Exploring the Impact of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence in Modern Computing,” which is free and open to the public, will be held Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 4:30 p.m. in the auditorium (G21) of the Walsh Science Center on campus.

Suman is a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Computing at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where his research expertise is in the design of AI/ML approaches and mathematical modeling for communication networks, communication networking and distributed computing.

Dr. Zahmeeth Sakkaff, assistant professor of Computer Science at St. Bonaventure, says Suman’s work in AI, ML and mathematical modeling is not just about research, but about creating tools and insights that reshape our understanding of communication networks.
