Cooper H.S. working to another shot at state title behind QB Cam OHara [Video]

UNION, Ky. (WXIX) – A year after coming one win short of a state title, the Cooper High School football team is undefeated behind junior quarterback Cam O’Hara.

Cooper lost the KHSAA Commonwealth 5A state title game to Bowling Green last year 28-14. The game was Cooper’s last trip to the Gridiron Bowl since 2012 when the Jaguars also lost to Bowling Green 34-20.

O’Hara said the 2024 season is about unfinished business.

“I think we’re all bought in,” O’Hara said. “We all want one main goal and that’s to make it to state. That’s the main goal – everyone being together and having high hopes.”

O’Hara has thrown for 1,822 yards and leads the state with 25 touchdown passes. He said the team buying into winning and having an offense full of weapons has made his job easier.
