Corpus Christi soldier makes it home for Christmas, surprises daughter at school [Video]

When Kailia Cruz’s favorite soldier — also known as her dad, Adrian — came walking into her classroom Friday morning.

The kindergartener was blown away by the surreal experience, leaping into her father’s arms.

Adrian Cruz tells 3NEWS he does it all for his little girl.

“I just want to set a good example — be the best dad I can be,” he said.

That special gift for Kailia — this emotional reunion — is a Christmas gift she will never forget!
