Defense in Hingham Apple Store crash murder case wants records from Toyota [Video]

The defense for the driver charged in the deadly 2022 Hingham Apple Store crash is seeking records from Toyota in an attempt to prove that artificial intelligence technology installed in the crash vehicle could have caused the crash.

Bradley Rein, 53, has pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree murder and motor vehicle homicide in the death of 65-year-old New Jersey resident Kevin Bradley.

Bradley was killed on Nov. 21, 2022 when Rein’s 2019 Toyota 4Runner crashed into the Apple Store at Hingham’s Derby Street Shops. Nearly two dozen other people were injured in the crash, and Rein is also facing 22 assault charges and a reckless operation charge in connection with the incident.
