Donations coming in for Norwich family who lost their daughter and belongings in house fire [Video]

NORWICH, Conn. (WTNH) — Donations are pouring in for the Norwich family who lost their young daughter and almost everything else during a devastating fire on Tuesday.

7-year-old girl dies after being pulled from fire in Norwich

“I was in early at 7 this morning and people were walking in with donations then so it’s nice to see everyone coming together,” Scott Dupointe, a Norwich Police Investigator, said.

Police, fire and the board of education in Norwich joined forces to help the family devastated by this awful fire. The firefighters who pulled the 7-year old girl from the flames also needed support and a peer team was there to provide it.

“It’s challenging,” Norwich Fire Chief Tracy Montoya said. “You know we made the resources available and many of them took advantage of those resources and they support each other as we always do.”
