Actor and conservative commentator Dean Cain told Newsmax viewers not to listen to him or any other celebrity about politics on Thursday after Taylor Swift endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for president.

During an interview with Cain on Newsmax’s The Chris Salcedo Show, host Chris Salcedo asked, “The appeal to low-information voters, you know, I get it, but what’s your sense? Do people vote based on what their favorite rapper, their bubblegum music artist says?”

Cain replied, “I sure hope they don’t, and that’s the same thing when I endorse a candidate. Like don’t, don’t listen to me. Do your research, and fortunately, Taylor says that. She says, ‘Go do your research.’”

He continued, “But apparently, like 300,000+ people have gone on and have checked out the [voter registration] site since she talked about it. You know, that’s great, that’s a great number, and good for her, but don’t– I mean honestly, don’t listen to your favorite …
