Fireboy DML’s latest album, Adademola, has quickly become one of my favourites since its release just over a week ago.
From start to finish, the album is an immersive experience that showcases Fireboy’s range as an artist and his ability to connect deeply with his audience through sincere storytelling and emotive melodies.
The album opens with “Iseoluwa,” a song that immediately resonated with me for its heartfelt lyrics and hopeful message.
It was a brilliant choice to kick off the album with this track—one that speaks to the undeserved favours and blessings we often receive without understanding why. Recorded during one of the lowest points in Fireboy’s life, “Iseoluwa” carries an emotional weight that feels both personal and universal.
