SAP S/4HANA is SAP’s next-generation business suite, designed to help you run simple in a digital and networked world. In general, there are three transition paths to SAP S/4HANA: system conversion, selective data transition, and new implementation. The SAP S/4HANA migration cockpit is designed to be used in a new implementation scenario.
In this 3-week course, we’ll cover the SAP S/4HANA migration cockpit for the new implementation scenario.
A deep dive into both the SAP S/4HANA migration cockpit and the migration object modeler will upskill you on the latest functionality. Both migration approaches, Migrate Data Using Staging Tables and Migrate Data Directly from SAP System, will be covered. The course contains detailed system demos in each week based on SAP S/4HANA 2022 FPS1.
In the first week, you’ll get insights into the Migrate Data Using Staging Tables approach. We’ll explain the migration process, deep dive into focus topics and share best practices. We’ll show how you can adjust migration objects and how to create your own migration objects. Week two will cover the Migrate Data Directly from SAP System approach. We’ll also discuss focus topics and share best practices. In week three, we’ll introduce the migration object modeler for the Migrate Data Directly from SAP System approach and demonstrate how to create your own migration object from scratch. We’ll outline the possibilities for adjusting the predefined selection from the SAP system, as well as how to define your own selection criteria. Finally, we’ll share available information sources to support your migration projects and give an outlook on what’s to come in the future
The openSAP course Migrating Data to SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition covers the transition to SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition.
Here is what some participants are saying about the course:
Week 1: Staging Tables Approach and Migration Object Modeler
Week 2: Direct Transfer Approach
Week 3: Migration Object Modeler for Direct Transfer
Week 4: Final Exam
If your motivation for taking this course is to get an overview of the SAP S/4HANA migration cockpit, you don’t need access to a demo system. However, we’ll also offer optional hands-on exercises so you can familiarize yourself with the different migration approaches. For these exercises, you can use a system image from SAP Cloud Appliance Library. We’ll provide details on how to access the system image as well as associated costs at the beginning of the course.
