ASHEVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – For the first time in exactly 33 days, the Asheville High School football team played on their home turf.
The last time they played at home was on Sept. 20th, the week before Hurricane Helene devastated western North Carolina.
Cougars fans were filing in ready to support their home team, they said it was a ‘breath of fresh air.’
“I did not think we were going to play at all because of how the storm had did stuff,” Cougars’ football fan Teresa Mosley said. “I am just excited and amped up.”
