BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – It was a windy, wet day for football, but that didn’t stop fans of Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt from heading to Protective Stadium.
With tailgating underway in Uptown since this morning, with the Bud Light Fan Fest getting fans pumped for the big game; They have live music, games, shopping, and a kid zone. Tech and Vandy fans are hoping to walk away with a victory.
One family with a house divided traveled seven hours to cheer their teams on.
“I texted in the family group chat and said it was a family trip to Birmingham, Alabama. We are about to see who is king of the nerds!”
Graduates of Georgia tech shared their excitement about the game.
“This season has been so fun, and the future is bright for Georgia Tech. We are happy to be here and cheer everyone on,” says Johnny Meshramker.
