Gov. Lee tours xAI, praises facility for bringing new opportunities for city [Video]

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) -While visiting Memphis, Governor Bill Lee toured Elon Musk’s much-discussed xAI facility.

Lee’s visit comes shortly after Mayor Paul Young praised the facility for its recent expansion, which he notes was fronted by 80% Memphis talent.

Despite the praises it received from lawmakers, the facility is still shrouded with criticism as the environmental ethics of the project are brought into question.

In response to concerns and pushback, Memphis, Light, Gas, and Water is working to look into the xAI’s impact on the city and the effects of its expansion.

During his visit, however, Governer Lee waxed optimistic, citing all the future opportunities that the facility will offer the city:
