Grand Rapids Public Museum brings back holiday festivities [Video]

The Grand Rapids Public Museum is showcasing a LEGO display that celebrates the city’s rich history.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Visitors at the Grand Rapids Public Museum can now enjoy an expanded, interactive version of its Historic Grand Rapids LEGO display, featuring more bricks, buildings, figures and scenes.

The LEGO display, which first debuted in 2013, has grown significantly over the years. 

What started as a small, two-table exhibit has now expanded to eight tables, each measuring six feet square. 

This year’s version of the display includes a larger river and increased levels of detail, offering an even more immersive experience.

“We’ve doubled the size of the river, and we’ve added new buildings and scenes to the layout. Every year, we aim to improve the detail and bring something new to the display,” said Lenny Pieniazek, project manager of the Western Michigan LEGO User Group.
