Nearly a quarter of Lancaster County’s 189 state-regulated pool facilities – 44 – logged at least one bacterial failure in the summer 2023. Of those 44 facilities that reported potentially concerning bacterial levels, Conestoga Pines Pool in Lancaster logged five, the highest in the county, with Bird-in-Hand Family Inn, Leacock Township, and Willowood Swim Club, Elizabethtown, just behind at four each.
In 2018, Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp Resort near Quarryville topped the list, with nine bacterial failures. (In 2023, Jellystone reported three.)
