DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) – With the new year comes motivation, setting new goals, and long to-do lists. But, those goals can be overwhelming.
Dothan Houston County Library System Director Chris Warren brought a book recommendation to help kick the year off productively.
Getting Things Done: The Art of Stree-Free Productivity by David Allen is a book so practical it could almost be described as dry, Warren said.
“I know a lot of us have so much going on,” Warren explained. “One of the things [Allen] talks about is how if we spend so much time focused on trying to remember the things we have to do, we can’t actually focus our attention on doing the things we have to do.”
The book gives tips like writing down a physical to-do list and prioritizing things by how long the tasks will take you.
