Jodie Sweetin’s time on Full House paid off… literally.

While speaking to PEOPLE about her back-to-school partnership with OLLY, the 42-year-old revealed her first big purchases while starring on her beloved ABC sitcom.

“I bought my first car and I paid for college,” Sweetin shared.

The actress — who starred as Stephanie Tanner on Full House and the 2010s Netflix reboot Fuller House — said that “the point” of working hard on the show was to be able to make a future for herself. “That was what all of the hard work went to,” Sweetin said. “It was worth it.”

Though the purchases were her own, Sweetin said her parents still set boundaries.
