Josh Brolin Praises Robert Downey Jr.’s Sobriety Journey After Broadway Show [Video]

Josh Brolin is giving his friend Robert Downey Jr. his flowers after witnessing his “astounding” Broadway performance in McNeal.

The Dune: Part Two actor, 56, shared a message of support to Instagram on Friday, Oct. 18, after checking out his former Avengers: Endgame costar‘s latest role on Broadway at the Vivian Beaumont Theater in New York City.

The show, which runs through Nov. 24, stars Downey, 59, as writer Jacob McNeal, who “has an estranged son, a new novel, old axes to grind and an unhealthy fascination with Artificial Intelligence,” per a synopsis.

And as Brolin wrote on Instagram, alongside a selfie featuring Downey and a few other industry pals, it featured a “great [cast] helmed by our great @robertdowneyjr (who was astounding).”
