Kamala Harris’ campaign strategy toward black men draws harsh criticism from former Obama adviser [Video]

Barack Obama‘s former adviser Van Jones claims VP Kamala Harris‘s strategy for Black men ‘sucked’ as experts continue to decipher on what went wrong for the candidate. 

During her campaign, Harris released a string of digital ads on Snapchat and Instagram targeting black men’s love lives in a bid to secure their vote.

In one such ad, a man can be seen approaching a group of women holding balloons who question him about his life. But when he says he does not have a ‘plan to vote’, all the women pop their balloons – rejecting him in the process. 

Days after President elect Donald Trump‘s victory, Jones believes it was ads like this that alienated black men. 

On a CNN episode with Anderson Cooper, he argued that the campaign did not ‘actually listen more and lecture less when it comes to African American men’.
