The Krafton India Gaming Incubator (KIGI) is a mentorship program by Krafton that was first announced in October 2023. This program aims to support and nurture upcoming indie game developers across India with funding, development help, marketing, and more.
In the lead-up to the announcement of the second cohort, we interviewed KIGI head Anuj Sahani to understand the details of the program, including its purpose, challenges, and feedback. This interview took place about a year after the initial announcement of KIGI.
We spoke with two game developers from the first cohort to fully understand KIGI, including its real-world impact. These include Karnataka-based Shura Games and Nagaland-based ReDimension Games. Both these developers were part of the first cohort that was announced in October 2023.
