SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. — The San Diego County Board of Supervisors heard a presentation from the San Diego Sheriff’s Office on their proposal to install about 60 Automated License Plate Recognition cameras in unincorporated communities.
“I think it will make a difference and it’ll make a difference everywhere,” Lakeside Resident Donna Perricone said.
Some of the proposed areas where ALPR devices could make their way are Lakeside, Valley Center and Campo.
“I think it’s wonderful that when a crime is committed or illegal action that they the police will be involved cause I always say where are the police when you need them,” Perricone said.
