MCCOMB, Miss. (WLBT) – Dr. Merra Sachdeva was convicted of healthcare fraud in 2012. She was charged with diluting patients’ chemo bags and is now set to be granted clemency by President Joe Biden.

Frances Hands’s father was in Sachdeva’s care. She said, “I cried all morning when I heard it yesterday morning. I couldn’t stop crying.”

Dr. Sachdeva founded the Rose Cancer Clinic in Summit back in 2005.

The clinic was used to treat patients suffering from stomach cancer.

Hand’s father was diagnosed with cancer in 2011. Hands says she knew something was up when her father could do daily tasks during chemo treatment without any problems.

Hands went on to say, “He never lost one strand of hair. He never got sick in his stomach. He was able to drive himself. Lived in South McComb. She was in Summit. He was able to drive himself the entire time.”
